Sleeping five, the cottage has two bedrooms, two shower rooms and a living room with a wood burning stove. A separate kitchen and dining area has patio doors out to the garden and the fabulous vista of the Mamore Ranges, which lead on northwards to the Nevis Ranges and Scotland's highest mountain, Ben Nevis.
The Byre makes for a perfect as a romantic hideaway, retreat space or base for outdoor sports and sightseeing. Ideally suited to a couple, a single person or two friends, the cottage has one bedroom with a gorgeously comfortable king-size bed and windows on two sides to enjoy uninterrupted views of the mountains. Clean, comfortable and with everything you could need for a relaxing break. Real care taken to ensure your stay is the best it can be. Beautiful location, very peaceful yet close to both Kinlochleven and Glencoe Village for supplies and coffee trips

A beautiful cottage in quite simply a breathtaking location. A quiet and secluded spot but not too far from the village. A warm and cosy cottage with everything you need. This has been a most memorable Christmas. We’ll be back for sure. X

The Byre's location is perfect - nestled in the mountains, secluded, yet only a short drive to groceries and pubs in town (though we ate in every night - no need to go out!). Loads of walking trails to choose from nearby. The Byre is spotlessly clean with a comfortable big bed, amazing shower, lovely towels and linens. It is thoughtfully appointed throughout (thank you especially for the welcome goodies and Christmas tree!). And it's wonderfully dog friendly - our dog loved exploring the deer trails around the property. The only neighbors are the guests in the next door cottage. The cottages are laid out so both have privacy and we hardly knew they were there... Needless to say, we are already planning our return trip!

We had the loveliest time staying in the byre! It’s very quiet and so cozy! Perfect for a quiet retreat or as a starting point to explore the highlands! Chris and Sarah are very considerate hosts and left us some milk and shortbread to make ourself a cuppa upon arrival. We also got introduced to their wee dog Monty :) We can definitely recommend a stay here!

Had a wonderful stay. The cottage is set in wonderful surroundings, we saw deer as we arrived. Inside the cottage is beautifully presented and lovely and warm for those colder days. Would thoroughly recommend staying here and hope to come back some day soon.

We had a fabulous time staying at the Byre. It is the most idyllic location; even in October the magnificent views and colours make up for the weather. Not that it matters inside the cottage - we were perfectly warm and comfortable. The mattress in particular is so incredibly comfortable, we slept so well! Chris and Sarah really made us feel welcome, offered suggestions for evening entertainment and were so helpful when we had a bit of trouble with the smoke alarm. Would thoroughly recommend!

Lovely cottage. We were hill walking in the area so the good hot shower and comfy bed were great! The DVD collection was also appreciated! Hosts were very helpful and arriving/'checking in' was very easy. Would 100% recommend to others and would stay here again!

The Byre is a beautiful and cosy home away from home. Chris and Sarah have thought of everything and the place has been beautifully renovated! We loved sitting in the living room and taking in the changing views of the mountains outside. The kitchen is really well equipped and allowed us to do a lot of cooking during our stay. The bed was also extremely comfy and gave us a good night's sleep after our days out. Shower was amazing too! Chris and Sarah were also great when we needed to take our wee dog at last minute. We can't recommend the Byre enough - it is a perfect base to explore Kinlochleven and Glencoe. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Chris (and Monty) for popping in to see us too!

This is a perfect mountain getaway, so peaceful, lovely scenery. The accommodation was 6 stars. For me who likes climbing the hills that is a great location to be based. A remote peaceful setting but at the same time having easy access. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at The Byre. At the end of a wet day it was good to get back to a warm, welcoming space. The bed and the shower were both great. Nice touches included milk and shortbread on our arrival, and porridge provided for our breakfast. Thermos flasks were also available. Good selection of DVDs for evening entertainment. Would highly recommend.

A very comfortable little cottage in a great location. Close to amenities yet with a feeling of seclusion. Great help and advice from Chris and Sarah who were on hand if needed. We had a delightful and relaxing stay

Very scenic and quiet location, but near to the village of Kinlochleven which has everything you'd really need. The road is too narrow for walking there, but it's a short drive. Great central location for Ft. Williams, Glencoe, Ben Nevis, Mallaig, etc. Super clean and comfortable with excellent hosts!

Chris and Sarah's place at the byre is so great. Amazing location, breathtaking scenery and deer quite literally on your doorstep (if you're like me and not used to the pitch black remember that when you take a step outside a night!). So many beautiful places for walks nearby and the village has friendly (and dog friendly) puns nearby. The byre is perfect home from home and our dog absolutely loved having so much on his doorstep too. He snoozed for much of our stay, zonked from all the sniffing and puppering around he did in surrounding Glencoe.
