Welcome to Garbhein Cottage

We hope you have a lovely stay.

A Peaceful Holiday

In a snug retreat amid the spectacular beauty of the Highlands.

Welcome to Garbhein Cottages

Six miles from historic Glencoe and sitting above Loch Leven with views onto the Mamore mountains, Garbhein Cottage is a traditional highland cottage built in the 19th century. It used to be the house of the deer stalker on the Mamore estate, which hosted many famous guests including King Edward VII. The cottage is perfect as a romantic hideaway, retreat space or base for outdoor sports and sight seeing, offering flexible accommodation to suit solo travellers, couples, families and friends.

The Local Area

As the Outdoor Capital of the UK, the region of Lochaber is fantastic for all kinds of outdoor activities including hiking, sailing, skiing, ice-climbing and cycling.
